An Ohio man who allegedly ran into a preschool during a police chase in Warren, Ohio, has a criminal record dating back more than a decade, according to FOX 8 in Cleveland.
Police body camera footage allegedly shows 39-year-old Lamar Mitchell running from police to preschool and jumping into a playground where children were playing with toys.
Children can be heard crying in the video as a woman yells “Oh my God!” The officers tell staff to take the children while they secure Mitchell.

Mitchell, reportedly wanted on a pending felony assault charge, ran into the daycare center after crashing his car nearby in the middle of the chase.

The suspect’s rap sheet also goes back to at least 2008 and includes aggravated robbery and criminal assault. He was also convicted of aggravated arson in 2015 and sentenced to four years in prison after burning down her girlfriend’s house when she told police he assaulted her, according to FOX 8.

Last year, Mitchell was involved in a two-hour SWAT standoff, in which he reportedly threatened to kill police. Wanted for felony escape, he finally turned himself in and was sentenced to six months in prison.

As of Friday, Mitchell remained in custody on $250,000 bond.
