A Texas gas station attendant was arrested after opening fire on a man who broke a jar of salsa amid a verbal altercation, according to authorities.

Deputies with the Office of Constable Mark Herman responded Friday to a disturbance call in Atascocita, Texas.

When they arrived, officers identified Breanna Miranda as the suspect.

An investigation into the case revealed what happened before the shooting.

Miranda had told a man that he could not enter the store. This sparked a verbal altercation, and the man smashed a jar of sauce inside the store before leaving.

She proceeded to follow the man outside, took a handgun from his vehicle, and returned to the store.

Miranda then went back outside and confronted the man again before shooting him twice.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked into the Harris County Jail and bond was set at $20,000.
