The president of the African National Congress, Cyril Ramaphosa, believes that South Africa has no future and that the country will also be in trouble, unless they continue to renew the party.

Addressing hundreds of ANC Women’s League members in Bloemfontein, Ramaphosa stressed that the country is dependent on the ANC renewal process and promised members that the process is firmly underway.

She was speaking in the Boet Troskie hall at the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein, where the women’s league work team held a candlelight service.

The event, along with a street carnival held in the city, are part of the ANC’s January 8 celebration activities.

Seeking to raise awareness of the social ills plaguing society, the ANCWL street carnival is among several activities gearing up for the ANC ceremony on January 8 this weekend. Activations have intensified as members of the LGBTQIA plus community, along with faith-based organizations and ANCWL members, took to the streets in euphoria.

“I am happy because as an LGBTQIA community we are here and we are doing a march with the ANC. So, we are happy because they recognize us as human beings”.

Several activations are expected to take place in the Mangaung region before the January 8 party declaration on Sunday.
