A senior adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin made a series of bizarre 2023 predictions Tuesday in a tweet saying the United States would enter civil war and Elon Musk would emerge victorious.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Putin’s security advisory council, took to Twitter to share his “humble contribution” to what he thinks could unfold in the new year.

“A civil war will break out in the United States,” he said in a list of wild predictions. “California and Texas became independent states as a result.

“Texas and Mexico will form an allied state,” he continued. “Elon Musk will win the presidential elections in several states that, after the end of the new Civil War, will have been given to the Republican Party.”

But Medvedev, a former Russian president and ardent supporter of the war in Ukraine, didn’t just make startling predictions about the US.

The adviser also predicted a series of staggering collapses within the European Union by predicting that the UK will reverse its Brexit policy and rejoin the EU, which will subsequently lead to the collapse and demise of the euro.

He went on to say that Poland and Hungary will occupy Ukraine and a “Fourth Reich” will be created that will encompass “the territory of Germany and its satellites, that is, Poland, the Baltic states, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the kyiv Republic and other outcasts.”

“War will break out between France and the Fourth Reich. Europe will be divided, Poland will be carved up in the process,” he said before adding that Northern Ireland would rise up and leave the UK to rejoin the Republic of Ireland.

Medvedev also wildly claimed that the stock market in the US and Europe will transition to Asia before assessing that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank would collapse, putting an end to the US dollar and euro.

“Digital fiat currencies will be actively used instead,” he added.

Musk seemed to enjoy the wacky long list of 10-tweet predictions, calling it an “Epic Thread!”

“Those are definitely the most absurd predictions I’ve ever heard, while also showing a staggering lack of awareness about the progress of artificial intelligence and sustainable energy,” he added.

Medvedev’s tweet received quite a bit of attention, garnering a whopping 29 million views.
