The State Department’s Office of Global Partnerships announces three partnerships with private sector partners to collaborate on the Young African and Diaspora Leaders Forum, part of the larger US African Leaders Summit. These partners, the African Diaspora Network, the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center and Netflix are leveraging their expertise to support the Forum theme of “Amplifying Voices: Building Lasting Partnerships.”
- The State Department is partnering with the African Diaspora Network, with support from the Gates Foundation, to co-host a high-level luncheon focused on channeling diaspora remittances toward productive investments in Africa.
- The State Department is partnering with the Atlantic Council, with support from the Open Society Foundation, to jointly host a networking breakfast that highlights and showcases artists and creatives from across the continent. American companies Meta and Google will use their innovative technologies to display these creatives.
- The Department of State has partnered with Netflix in collaboration with UNESCO to host a screening and panel discussion of one of the winners of their ‘African Folktales, Reimagined’ short film competition.
