Still unsure about some of the races?
Voice of OC put together a 2024 voter guide that gives a rundown on some of the county’s most critical races — including the Orange County Supervisors race, a series of proposed sales tax increases across the county, some notable state propositions and competitive congressional races.

Other Ways to Vote
Besides casting a ballot in person, there are many other options for OC residents looking to vote in the general election.
All 1.8 million Orange County registered voters should have received a ballot in the mail.
Voters can drop off their ballot in one of the 123 ballot drop box locations across the county. They are already open 24/7 for voters to submit their completed ballot.
Ballot drop boxes will close on Nov. 5 at 8 p.m.

There are also 23 drive-thru voting options available for voters to cast their ballot from their car — 10 open up this weekend.
To participate in drive-thru voting, voters must complete their vote-by-mail ballot before dropping it off at a drive-thru location.
Voters can also drop off their completed ballot in person at any vote center, USPS post office or USPS mailbox with no postage required.
Ballots must be postmarked and signed by Nov. 5 to be accepted and counted in the election.
Vote centers officially replaced polling places during the 2020 election in Orange County.
Previously, polling centers were only open on election day, while vote centers open many days before the election.
Before 2020, voters were assigned a specific local polling location where they were meant to cast their ballot. With vote centers, residents can pick any vote center across the county to cast their ballot.
Can I Still Register to Vote?
The registration deadline for the general election was Oct. 21.
If you missed the online voter registration deadline, you can still complete a Same-Day Voter Registration form and request a ballot in person from the county elections office.
