The reigning Mr. Mpumalanga, Abednigo Mabaso, will soon be competing for Mr. World Tourism in the Philippines, Asia.
Momentum is building as he travels there on January 25 to compete on the international stages, flying the South African flag and putting Mpumalanga on the map. She will be competing from January 27 to February 4.
This 30-year-old man is from a dusty little town, Mphenyatsatsi in Bushbuckridge. He will compete with models from various countries. He is also a public speaker, businessman, and actor. He is the founder and president of Step Up for a Boy Child NPC.
Mabaso said that it has always been his dream to see himself on an international stage.
“This is a unique opportunity for me to showcase our tourism, cultures and diversity internationally. I want to encourage all young people with big dreams not to give up on life. It is possible to achieve your dreams and goals no matter where you come from.”

As he prepares to travel, Mabaso said he looks forward to learning and growing.
“I am not only going to Asia to win the title, I am going there to learn other cultures and create networks that can help our future projects in South Africa. I will bring the title of Mr Tourism World not only to Mpumalanga, but to Africa in general.”
Billy Brown, co-founder and CEO of Mr Mpumalanga and country director of Mr Tourism World SA, said the Admire Billy Malubana (ABM) Foundation needs the public to support Mabaso on his journey by voting for him.

“For the link to vote, visit Mr. Mpumalanga’s Facebook page. We publish it every day, because each person has the opportunity to vote for free every day. Those who want to vote more than once can still do so, although they will pay for it. The post and share support will also help you a lot, because it will give everyone across the country the opportunity to vote.
“Mabaso will represent Mpumalanga as his province of residence, but he will also represent South Africa on the international stage.”
The ABM Foundation will organize a farewell for him on January 20.
