there is something truth in the saying that being a parent is not as good as it seems. However, this is also a story about the courage of parents who overcome all obstacles to cross the world to rescue their children.
As shown by the head rooster on a small farm, Toto struggles to come to terms with raising his two newly laid Little Eggs, Uly and Max. Her rebellious behavior of his is what has him plucking out his feathers!
This is the only beginning of Toto’s problems because, since her little eggs are golden in color, they have caught the attention of the Duchess, a Russian egg-collecting villain. She raids the farm, she steals Uly and Max and sends them to Africa to become the main course of a secret dinner for the world’s billionaires, who are willing to pay thousands of dollars for exotic dishes.
Toto and his friends must find a way to travel to Africa and rescue their Little Eggs while avoiding hungry crocodiles, a trio of clueless hippos, and even the king of the jungle himself.
Gabriel and Riva Palacio Alatriste are known for an egg movie (2006) and Eggs: The Excellent Adventure of the Little Rooster’s Egg (2015).
The voice cast is Frederico P Fajardo (Toto), Felecia Angelle (Di), Dana Spejh (Uly), Hoku Ramirez (Max), Romulo A Bernal (Confi), Paula Andrea Barros (Bibi), Sarah Bartels (Duchess), Zeno Robinson (Tail).
The characters are endearing. Toto is an intelligent, cunning, honest, friendly and faithful rooster, who is in love with Di, a warm, affectionate young hen who is very faithful to her loved ones.
Their son, 4-year-old Max, is playful, quick-witted, and was born on the same day as his impulsive little sister Uly, and protective of his brother.
Willy is a happy little egg. Confi is an egg full of confetti. Bacon is a slice of bacon, extremely noble, simple, a good friend and good-natured. Bibi is passionate, generous, fair and direct. The Duchess is smug, with an air of superiority, that she has found adventure and wealth for her as an emissary of Baron Roncovich, whom she always seeks to please and impress.
