Liberia Joseph Fahnbulleh has also emerged winner in the men 100 meters race at the senior athletics champions taking place in Cameroon.
Fahnbulleh who secured Liberia second goal medal in a single competition ever but in separate gender over came his fellow African with a time of 10.13 seconds setting a new record in said category similar to his fellow compatriot Ebony Morrison, both runners has been flying the flag of their mother land very high coming close in recent regional and international competition with a dream of winning a gold medal which has has eventually come to pass, as the saying goes “winners don’t quite and quitters don’t win” with that been said, it seems that the sky is the limit for Liberian in all sporting disciplines across the globe, Liberia shall rain among the committee of nations with the downing of a new day in the area of sports.-30-
Liberia’s Ebony Morrison has won her Country’s first ever gold medal in an international athletics competition, the Liberian runner achieved the feat on Saturday June 22, 2024 in the Senior athletics championship taking place in Cameroon, she edge out South Africa’s Maarione Fourie after clocking 12.70 seconds surpassing her own national record of 12.74 set at the 2020 summer Olympics.
Her victory was in the Hurdle Championship at the Senior Athletics championship taking place in Cameroon.
The win by the Liberian runner did not come come as a surprise, it was however do to her continues hard work, dedication and commitment to the sports over the time.-30-
