MONROVIA — Senator Prince Moye, Chair of the Senate Committee on Ways, Means, and Finance, has dismissed rumors alleging a plot to remove Senate Pro-Tempore Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence from her position.

Reports had suggested that Moye, the Bong County senator, was among 17 senators who signed a resolution to unseat Karngar-Lawrence and that he was being considered as her replacement.

The rumors, which also linked the 17 senators to the opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) bloc, implied a coordinated effort to remove the Grand Bassa County senator.

When contacted by FrontPageAfrica on Wednesday, Senator Moye firmly denied the claims, stating, “Not true. I didn’t attend any meeting last night to replace Sen. Karngar Lawrence.”
