Gbarnga — The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Bong County has issued an injunction halting the ongoing annual conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC).

By Selma Lomax, [email protected]

The decision follows a petition filed by L. Olandor Boyce, the Lay Leader of the St. Paul River District, who claims he was denied participation in the 192nd annual conference being held in Gbarnga. Boyce contends that the UMC’s actions violate the Book of Discipline, which governs church practices.

He is now seeking a declaratory judgment from the court to compel the UMC to allow his attendance at the conference.
