Police in a Chicago suburb saved a boy who was drowning in an icy pond on Wednesday.
The 9-year-old boy fell into an ice retention pond Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. while trying to get a football, according to the Aurora Police Department. When the agents arrived at the scene, they saw that an adult woman also jumped into the pond to save the child from drowning.
Officers entered the pond and saved the woman and child and brought them back to land, authorities said in a Facebook post.
