MOSCOW, Idaho – Several people can be seen walking in the background of police body camera video taken near the King Road home where four University of Idaho students were killed in their sleep on and around the same time on November 13.
Plaincloth officers detained three University of Idaho students on suspicion of underage drinking around 2:50 a.m. on November 13 as they walked through a field on Taylor Avenue between the Sigma Chi fraternity house and the girls’ rental house.

Police previously said investigators found nothing of probative value in the body camera videos, but it’s unclear if they identified or interviewed the people walking. Fox News Digital inquired about the images multiple times beginning Saturday and has yet to receive a response.
Online detectives spotted the group of figures, who can be seen walking near the intersection of King Road and Taylor Avenue, two houses down from the crime scene.

“During the time period of the murders, there were people in the vicinity,” he told Fox News Digital.
“Between the people with law enforcement and the people in the background of the body camera footage, there are about half a dozen people. The significance is that they may have witnessed something without knowing it.”
The body camera is marked at 3:12 a.m. Police have previously maintained that they believe the killings took place between 3 and 4 a.m.

Police previously asked the public to avoid speculation and misinformation and warned that people who harass or threaten “potentially involved parties” could face criminal consequences.
However, the development has the potential to help investigators in the case, according to experts.

“Those videos are from all the gas stations in the city and specifically from the area around King Road,” he said. “Takes a lot of time”.

As police continue to search for a suspect, they urge students and local residents to be careful.
“We should be vigilant now, but we should make that a way of life for us,” Lanier said. “We should always walk with our heads held high, stick to lighted pathways and walk in groups if we can, and also let people know when you got home if you haven’t made prior arrangements.”
Last week, police asked the public for help in finding the occupant or occupants of a white 2011 to 2013 Hyundai Elantra also seen near the victims’ home at the time of the murders.
