Photos taken outside the house where four University of Idaho students were stabbed to death earlier this month show a grisly scene left behind after several cars were towed away.
Five cars, which presumably had not moved since the attack on November 13, left rectangular sections of concrete that appeared to give way, surrounded by accumulated snow when they were removed.
Police have yet to confirm that the cars belonged to victims Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen and Ethan Chapin. The cars were taken to a city-owned maintenance shop several miles away.
Idaho State Police Communications Director Aaron Snell told Fox News Digital that the cars were being taken into “long-term secure storage” to “gather more evidence.”

Two days before she was killed, Goncalves bought the Range Rover she saw being towed outside the house, according to her mother, Kristi.
Kristi told Fox News’ Lawrence Jones that Goncalves returned to the Moscow, Idaho, home to show Mogen his new car.

Goncalves, Kernodle, Mogen and two other girls, who were not injured, lived in the house off campus. Chapin, Kernodle’s boyfriend, was staying the night when the deadly attack occurred.
Police believe all four victims were stabbed several times between 3 am and 4 am by an unknown assailant after returning home from a night out.

The house was cordoned off the day of the murders. Police expanded the crime scene last week to include the parking lot and a wooded area behind the house.

Detectives have received more than 488 digital media submissions and more than 1,000 tips, but have yet to identify a suspect or locate a murder weapon.
