A Florida bartender came up to the bar to accuse a man for headlocking a woman. Little did he know that the man was pointing a gun at her.
“In the video, everything looks very slow, but right now everything is moving very fast,” said David Ghiloni. “I was protecting her. I didn’t even know there was a gun involved until I accosted the guy.”

For his heroism, Ghiloni received a lifesaving award from the Flager County Sheriff’s Office. “This courageous act of protecting the woman and fighting back against this shooter undoubtedly saved lives that night,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “I am honored to recognize David, who selflessly helped those in need and put his own life on the line to protect others.”
The suspect, Connor Anderson, faces multiple charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into a building and using a firearm under the influence. Anderson, allegedly upset that he couldn’t find her keys, allegedly brought a gun to the bar, attacked the woman, and fired six shots as he was knocked down. It should be noted that no one was seriously injured.
