Elon Musk is in the clearinghouse on Twitter.
After laying off most of the company’s staff, after applauding the exodus of “woke” journalists from the social media platform, it is now physically removing “woke” T-shirts from Twitter headquarters.
On Tuesday, Musk posted a video of himself and another person finding an entire “secret closet” full of T-shirts reading: #StayWoke.
“Here we are in the [merchandise] and there’s a whole closet full of awakening hashtags,” Musk said.

An unidentified person off camera added: “A secret closet.”
In the wake of Musk’s purchase of Twitter, several users criticized his push to allow “free speech” on the platform, as they claimed it would allow discrimination, insults and fake news to flourish.
Others criticized Musk’s unbanning of prominent users including former President Donald Trump and the satirical website Babylon Bee.

He also cut more than 75% of the staff and required those who remained to sign a pledge to work harder than ever to drastically change Twitter.
These policy changes, among others at the company and the platform, also prompted an exodus of “hallway monitor” journalists to Mastodon, a rival social media platform that allows users to create their own mini social media feeds.
Musk, responding to a tweet, joked that he was glad the overly critical journalists were gone.
FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver initially wrote: “Mastodon seems like a trap for hall monitor personality types. Honestly, if Elon gets all hall monitors to migrate to Mastodon, that might be his biggest contribution to the betterment.” of humanity”.

In a separate tweet, he added: “I hope all Judgey Hall monitors stay on other platforms please I beg you.”

Several of these journalists and others have left Twitter over its change in address, further believing that it may not survive too many changes too soon and could ultimately be shut down. CBS News announced Friday that it was leaving Twitter due to this alleged “uncertainty,” though it returned less than 48 hours later.
In a tweet later Tuesday night, Musk mocked his critics who predicted that Twitter would soon collapse.
“Wasn’t Twitter supposed to die or something…?” she asked in a tweet.
