Disney is warning guests to be on their best behavior at California and Florida resorts after a spike in fights at the parks.
Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World added courtesy sections to the “Know Before You Go” section on their website to remind guests that inappropriate behavior can get them kicked off the property.
For visitors to California parks, Disneyland’s advisory reads: “We ask all who come to this happy place to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. To help guests have a safe and nice, we regularly update our Disneyland resort rules.”
Additionally, in the property rules section, the park asks that guests show “common courtesy” to other guests and Cast Members (employees) by “not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or reserving places in lines for others.

Walt Disney World in Florida shares a similar message encouraging guests to “be the magic you want to see in the world” and to always treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. The park warns that those unable to fulfill the “simple wish” will be asked to leave the complex.
According to WDW News Today, fights have broken out at the Florida resort at various locations over the past year and a half, including Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom, Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios, Living With The Land at EPCOT, and on the ferries to and from Magic Kingdom.
In July of this year, a major fight between two families took place outside Peter Pan’s Flight, just months after a woman suffered a head injury after an altercation during a fireworks display.

The California park has experienced similar altercations, most recently with a fight over Memorial Day weekend that resulted in the removal of several guests.
At the time, a Disneyland spokesperson issued the following statement to Fox 11 LA:
“We do not condone this type of reprehensible behavior. Disneyland Resort security quickly intervened, defused the situation and removed guests from the park.”
