The California sheriff’s office released body camera footage showing an officer shooting a man riding a bicycle before brandishing a blade and claiming to be the Antichrist.
“I’m lowering the kickstand, brother. I’m [the] Antichrist,” Kenneth Scott Wallis told a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputy on Nov. 12, according to video from the scene.
Authorities said a Cabazon Station deputy pulled over Wallis around 3:30 p.m. that day in unincorporated Riverside County while he was bicycling on the wrong side of the street, Fox 11 reported. The officer knew Wallis had an active felony warrant for his arrest when he pulled him over.
Video footage released by the sheriff’s office this week shows the deputy getting out of his vehicle and approaching Wallis, alerting him that bicycling the wrong way off the street is illegal. The deputy also asked Wallis if he was in possession of any weapons.
