The US Marshals Service is now involved in the search for Kevin Watson, ex-husband of missing Tennessee mother of three, Britney Watson, who is believed dead.
He Haywood County Sheriff’s Office announced the disappearance of Britney, 34, on Sunday after she was last seen on January 7 at a motel off Interstate 40 in Jackson, Tennessee.
“The USMS is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest of Kevin Watson,” the USMS Memphis said in a Thursday tweet. “Wanted for first degree murder. Victim, Britney Watson, disappeared on 01/07/23. Kevin Watson may be on foot in rural Haywood County. He should be considered armed and dangerous.”
The Haywood County Sheriff’s Department continued the search for Britney and Kevin Thursday morning on foot and in ATVs with the help of body-searching dogs, Sheriff Billy Garrett Jr. said in an update posted on Facebook.

On Friday, authorities plan to “organize a volunteer search party … for community volunteers and other volunteer search parties to come and re-check the area,” Garrett added.

Garrett previously told Fox News Digital that authorities “have evidence to indicate” that Kevin, who is considered a person of interest in his ex-wife’s disappearance and now murder, may be armed and possibly committing suicide.
Kevin Watson is wanted for the first degree murder of his wife, Britney Watson.

The couple divorced about four years ago and were trying to get back together, but were experiencing some “domestic issues,” the sheriff said.

Garrett thanked the Haywood community for their “support, calls, concerns and prayers.”
Later Sunday, Sheriff Billy Garrett Jr. announced that authorities located Kevin Watson’s vehicle in the Big Eddy Lake area north of Brownsville and were “searching the immediate area around it.”

“Keep the three children and extended family in your prayers,” the sheriff said. “Please respect their request for privacy and provide words of encouragement where necessary as they are hurting. This kind of thing could happen to most families and we need to have compassion for them. May God bless our community and our efforts to find to this couple.” .”
