More than 15 years after 32-year-old mother Felicia McGuyer went missing in Boston, police have arrested a man for her murder.

David Pena, 33, was taken into custody Saturday by the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit at the Baker County Detention Center in Macclenny, Florida. Pena is McGuyer’s ex-boyfriend, according to MassLive.

While processing him back in Boston, authorities discovered he was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for cocaine trafficking charges.

McGuyer disappeared on October 7, 2007 in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Police noted during their search for him that his family was “concerned for his safety and well-being” of him.

“It is not common behavior for McGuyer to be out of touch with his son, other family members and friends,” Boston police said in a 2013 public information request.

In 2017, Boston police and the FBI searched a wooded area in West Roxbury, a neighborhood west of Dorchester, in connection with McGuyer’s disappearance, according to WHDH. His body has never been found.
