Network expands team with award-winning journalist ahead of new season of REVOLT Black News Weekly

THE ANGELS, January 26, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Leading Black-Owned Multimedia Company REVOLT today announced the exciting addition of industry veteran Mara S. Campo as a global news anchor for its growing news division. Through this initiative, REVOLT continues to expand its highly talented team of trailblazing women ahead of the fourth season premiere of its flagship series, REVOLT Black News Weekly.

The news program is dedicated to bringing the most relevant stories to black culture from an authentic perspective. the series returns 26 of Januarythe with an exclusive and in-depth conversation with the co-founder of Black Lives Matter patrisse cullors as he fights to clear his name while continuing the fight against police brutality. throughout this season RBNW it will offer significant cultural content and storytelling that will give voice to typically unknown perspectives. Mara and the team aim to keep relevance at the center of their investigative reporting, while exploring the experiences most important to black culture as they build on the series’ successful run.

Four-time Emmy Award-winning journalist Campo will serve as anchor of global news for REVOLT Black News Weekly and as Managing Editor of the news division. He will lead the investigative journalism arm of the multimedia company as it continues to tackle the most pressing issues related to social justice, economic advancement, public safety, health, wellness and education. With more than 15 years of experience covering some of the biggest news, Campo will authentically report on crucial conversations and pertinent topics.

Coming back for a fourth run, REVOLT Black News Weekly begins its new season with a special episode starring patrisse cullors, co-founder of Black Lives Matter, for a meaningful conversation about black women, body positivity, and no consequences for anti-black rhetoric. The fourth season of REVOLT weekly black news will air on REVOLT’s linear channel tonight, 26 of Januarythe a 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time with weekly episodes airing on Thursdays.
