He BBC apologized after pornographic noises were played on air during the broadcaster’s live coverage of an FA Cup match, apparently via a mobile phone a prankster had hidden in the studio.
Noises interrupted coverage hosted by former England striker Gary Lineker ahead of the match between Wolverhampton and Liverpool at Molineux Stadium on Tuesday.

Lineker then posted on Twitter a photo of a cell phone that he said was “taped to the back of the TV” inside the stadium. “As for the sabotage, it was pretty fun,” Lineker said.

The BBC seemed less amused, issuing a statement saying: “We apologize to viewers offended during live coverage of football tonight.”

A self-proclaimed YouTube prankster, who goes by the name “Jarvo,” tweeted that he was behind the hack and posted a video showing him calling the phone to turn on the sounds.
Jarvo, whose real name is Daniel Jarvis, was banned in October from all sporting events in England and Wales for two years after running onto the pitch during a test cricket match between England and India in September 2021 and storming the batsman. English Johnny Bairstow.
