dakhla (Refugee camps), January 15, 2023 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, received on Saturday a delegation of African parties that support the Saharawi cause, headed by the former Minister of Affairs Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe and member of the Political Bureau of the ZANU-PF Party, Mr. Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, accompanied by the former Prime Minister of Mozambique and member of the Political Bureau of the FRELIMO Party, Mr. Aires Ali, on the sidelines of the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front.
The President of the Republic praised the participation of the African parties in the work of the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front, considering it an achievement aimed at strengthening relations in line with the aspirations of the Saharawi people for self-determination and the restoration of sovereignty. .
He pointed out that most of the African peoples have a common history with the Saharawi people, represented in the courageous fight against colonialism and the continuous fight for the restoration of all stolen rights.
He praised the constant support that friendly African countries have always given to the Saharawi people until they achieve freedom and independence.
For their part, the African parties affirmed that they will continue to support the Saharawi cause and will defend it in various continental and international forums, wishing the Saharawi people and the Polisario Front the success of their XVI Congress.
