A Texas man shared that his package was stolen right off his front porch minutes after delivery in broad daylight in his quiet suburban neighborhood.

“It’s kind of cheeky to do it in the middle of the day and especially in this neighborhood. There are cameras everywhere,” Michael Peach told Fox 7.

Surveillance video from Michael Peach's home captured the porch hacker taking his newly delivered package from his front porch.

Peach shared that the porch bandits appeared to be following the delivery truck and immediately grabbing people’s packages before heading back onto the streets.

“I mean, you’d think the delivery guy would notice, but, at the same time, they’re busy trying to get the packages out, so maybe they’re just not paying attention,” Peach said.

Peach has lived in her Manchaca, Texas neighborhood for more than three years and shared that she had never experienced such flagrant robbery.

“It was kind of creepy. I always thought this was a safe area, and it’s weird that it happens,” Peach shared.

After the incident, Peach shared her experience with her neighbors; to his surprise, they, too, had been victims of the porch pirate’s illegal buying spree.

“I think it was about four or five people who said they had been hit in this neighborhood. And then in the next neighborhood, I think 10, 15 minutes after ours, they said they had 10 or 12 houses there.” said peach.

Fortunately, surveillance at Peach’s home captured the man in action and the vehicle’s make and license plate number and shared the footage with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

He hopes that sharing this story and the images will lead to answers.

“I just want whoever it is to get caught. I mean, if they’re going to come here in the middle of the day, not wearing a face covering, we’re going to put it on the news,” Peach said.
