A detention officer in Florida was arrested after he allegedly sold “cannabis-infused brownies” to inmates at the jail where he worked and made “a few thousand dollars.”

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said at a news conference that Deputy Terry Bradford Jr. was arrested Wednesday after learning from a source that inmates were paying him to deliver the marijuana-laced brownies to the jail in Faulkenburg, according to FOX 13.

Chronister said Bradford arrived at the jail Wednesday night with more than a pound of brownies.

“He vowed to uphold all that is good and just. His greed got the better of him,” Sheriff Chronister said. “Think of the danger this creates. It can lead to gambling. It can lead to violence.”
