Xiaomi Corporation, a global smart manufacturing and consumer electronics company, officially opened its first licensed store in Cape Town on December 16, 2022. It was the second Xiaomi store to open in South Africa in less than two months.
Located in Shop 82 on the lower level of the Canal Walk Shopping Centre, the third largest shopping mall in Africa, the store will be Capetonians’ gateway to quality, affordable smartphones and smart home products. Xiaomi fans can also bring their devices in need of repair to the store to start the process.

On launch day, December 16, Xiaomi fans got an incredible 50% discount on selected items and a free Mi Smart Band 5, valued at R699 (recommended retail price), with any smartphone purchased from the store ( valid while supplies last and terms and conditions apply) . There was also a 10% discount on other select products on launch day. All these specials were for a single day.
