40°C: Extreme heat advisory for parts of the Western Cape
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued an extreme discomfort advisory due to sweltering temperatures in the Western Cape on Wednesday 7 December.
The notice is valid from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8. The weather service said the scorching temperatures would make conditions difficult for some people to handle.
The affected area includes the interior of the West Coast District. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of nearly 40 degrees in certain locations.

Confirmed: Stage 6 load shedding through Friday, Stage 5 after that
Eskom released a full statement on the load shedding situation for the first time since the power cuts were elevated, first to Stage 3 on Tuesday, then to Stage 4 and 6 on Wednesday, late Wednesday afternoon. December 7th.
LAST MINUTE: STAGE 6 load cut from 12:00
The electric power company confirmed that the Stage 6 load shed would remain in place until 5:00 a.m. Friday, and the Stage 5 power outages would follow until the same time Saturday morning. .

RIP: Western Cape student killed for correcting his rude friend
A recent fatal stabbing of a Western Cape student has sent a shock wave after why a friend actually killed him came to light.
According to Women for Change, Zanton Basson (17), a Rocklands High student, was fatally stabbed by his friend at Westgate Mall, Mitchells Plain last month.
“It is alleged that an argument broke out between the two after Zanton corrected his friend for being rude to an elderly person. His friend then turned and stabbed him in the chest.”

The Dubai-based businessman said new Skys that he had no idea that the animals belonged to the president and that he negotiated the purchase through a broker who worked in Phala Phala.
In his responses to the Public Protector, which was considered by the Section 89 Independent Panel, Ramaphosa said US$580,000 (around R10m) was stolen from his farm in February 2020.

SASSA Scholarships: Gold card withdrawals suspended for December
post bank has informed all SASSA grant recipients that ATM withdrawals using gold cards have been suspended for December only.
This is because several recipients (elderly, disabled, and children) were unable to access their grants on the specified payment dates for November and December.
