The ancient Mayan ancestors were not happy and neither were the visitors to the Temple of Kukulcán when a woman climbed and danced on the forbidden structure. The pyramid is located in the center of Chichén Itzá, an archaeological site in the Yucatán.
According to daily mailthe intruder is Abigail Villalobos, 29, from Mexico, whom locals now call Lady Chichén Itzá.
In a recent TikTok video, now going viral, the woman walks up the steps of the holy monument.
Honestly, she needs to be worried about more than just people booing her. ???? https://t.co/D6IPCQa3D3

Thoughtless tourist meets an angry crowd
A guide escorted Villalobos from the temple Monday after he climbed the stairs to the top. Angry tourists watched her as she made her way to the top of the ancient structure ignoring the shouts of the crowd.
Villalobos danced on one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. She appears to pose for photos in front of the angry crowd with some “jail, jail, jail” and “lock her up” chants.
Before reaching the bottom, staff from the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) were waiting for her.
Two INAH members escorted Villalobos out of the temple through the crowd, yelling at him and throwing water at him. The Tinum Municipal Police detained her and fined her in accordance with article 55 of the Federal Law on Archaeological, Artistic and Historical Monuments. After waiting for half an hour, he paid a fine of 5,000 pesos, about $257.
The INAH confirmed that the monument was not damaged in a statement a few hours after the publication on social networks.
