Suspect Hijacks Muni Bus, Assaults Driver Before Hitting 10 Vehicles
San Francisco police say a suspect robbed a Muni bus in San Francisco early Saturday morning. KTVU FOX 2 reports.
A man was out for a walk after attacking a San Francisco Muni bus driver and hijacking the public transportation vehicle early on Thanksgiving weekend, police say.
Police said the bus was taken by force at Mission and Cortland streets. It had no passengers in it at the time and the driver was able to get out.
The bus struck approximately 10 vehicles as the suspect was driving toward the area of 19th and Guerrero streets, where the bus stopped and officers detained it.
The driver of one of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Rickey Dancy, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. He, too, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Dancy was booked into a San Francisco County jail and faced with approximately 17 counts, including felony auto theft, felony evading an officer with willful disregard and felony DUI causing injury,” the court reported. New York Post.

A witness said the bus said “911 POLICE EMERGENCY CALL” on its screen instead of the bus line identifier.
