PAYNESVILLE – A new report by Naymote Partners for Democratic Development has raised concerns over the slow pace of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s administration in delivering on its promises, with only 4 percent of commitments fully completed after one year in office

The One-Year Performance Report, conducted under the President Meter Project (Boakai Meter), tracked 126 promises made by the Unity Party-led government between January and December 2024.

The findings reveal that while 80 promises constituting 63.5 percent are in progress, a substantial 22 constituting 17.5 percent have yet to start, and 19 constituting 15 percent remain unrated due to limited access to information.

The assessment, based on President Boakai’s ARREST Agenda, highlights progress in economic stability and infrastructure development but notes critical delays in healthcare, education, and anti-corruption reforms.

Macroeconomic Stability and Infrastructure recorded 72 promises tracked with 45 ongoing and two completed. For Health, WASH, Environment, and Climate Change 11 promises were tracked with 10 ongoing and none completed.

On the other hand, Human Capacity Development recorded 13 promises tracked with none completed. Governance and Rule of Law recorded 15 promises tracked with two completed while Gender, Youth, Children, and Social Protection recorded 10 promises tracked with one completed and seven ongoingThe Fight Against Corruption recorded five promises with all ongoing and none completed.
