Pennsylvania authorities found a silicone sex doll “used for self-gratification” after it was initially believed to be human remains, police said Monday.
Tunkhannock Township Police said officers were dispatched on a report of possible human remains inside a bag found Sunday by a man and his son. They were retrieving a ball from a stream when they found a black plastic bag with a foot sticking out.

Authorities called the Pennsylvania State Police, who responded and opened the bag. They determined that it contained no human remains.
“We have seen this item called a dummy online,” the police department said in a Facebook post. “That’s really not accurate. This was a realistic silicone item used for self-gratification. It’s about the size of a small child, weighs about 50 pounds, and is anatomically correct.”
“The foot that we could see through the bag was extremely detailed right down to the French pedicure it had,” the publication said.

The department expected the comments on the social media post to be “interesting” but asked users to remember that “a child and his father found this. We don’t want our children to find this.”
