California police are investigating after a city official woke up to find the outside of his home covered in feces left behind by an unknown person.
The Laguna Beach Police Department said in a Press release that they received a call around 7:30 a.m. Thursday from the home of City Manager Shohreh Dupuis and found “feces or sewage scattered on the property.”
Police believe the vandalism in the prosperous coastal city occurred overnight and released photos of the scene that presumably show human excrement on the house, in the front yard, on the mailbox, in the flower boxes, on the stairs and on the walkway adjacent to the house. .
“This is a shocking personal attack on our City Manager at her residence,” said Laguna Beach Mayor Bob Whalen. “This is criminal conduct that will be immediately and thoroughly investigated.”

The press release stated that the house is considered city property as the city owns half of the house while Dupuis owns the other half which is part of his employment contract.
“Their job is difficult enough without the added stress and anxiety that this type of attack creates,” Whalen added. “She doesn’t deserve this disrespect, and I hope our community supports her.”
