Kansas law enforcement officers shot and killed a double homicide suspect in Phoenix, Arizona, during a shooting in Dodge City on Monday, according to reports.
Fox station KSAZ in Phoenix reported that Leroy Malone allegedly killed Cameron Brown, 28, and Asya Rose Ribble, 27, around 1 p.m. Sunday.

The shooting occurred near 51st Avenue and Warner Street in Phoenix, and when police arrived, they found her children safely inside the home.

“As the investigation progressed, detectives identified an adult male as a suspect. It also became known that an adult female was likely with the suspect. The man and woman were tracked out of state. Phoenix detectives contacted agencies throughout the country, with information about the man and woman along with an explanation of the case,” Phoenix police said.
The next morning, Malone was spotted by Ford County Sheriff’s Office deputies near Minneola, Kansas, about 14 hours from Phoenix, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
The office said officers along with the Kansas Highway Patrol were in pursuit until the suspect’s vehicle stopped at Highway 50 and 113 Road in Dodge City.

Once the vehicle came to a stop, shots were exchanged, the office added.
KSAZ reported that two Ford County Sheriff’s Office deputies were shot, one in serious condition. A Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputy was also shot and is in serious condition.

Malone was reportedly shot to death and the woman in the vehicle with him was hit by bullets and is in critical condition.
